Poet collects Lighting Design award

Frankenstein’s Bruno Poet has won the award for Best Lighting Design at the 2012 Olivier Awards with MasterCard.
Poet triumphed in a category that also included previous winners Anna Christie’s Howard Harrison and Hugh Vanstone, who was nominated for his work on both Ghost The Musical and Matilda The Musical.
Poet’s work on the much-anticipated production was apparent from the minute audiences walked into the Olivier theatre’s auditorium, its stage bathed in a hellish red light, a manmade womb at its centre.
Though Frankenstein has now closed, Poet’s work can still be seen on the capital’s stage as his other productions include South Downs and The Browning Version, which begins previews at the Harold Pinter theatre next week.
